Big things are happening at Solmar Resorts in Los Cabos. Not only are major renovations and new construction slated to be completed at the beginning of 2011, a new all-inclusive option featuring tasty local Mexican food is now being served! Situated on a hillside next to El Arco de Cabo San Lucas defining the entrance that separates the Sea of Cortes from the wide open Pacific, one side of this peninsula overlooks Cabo’s shops and marina just a ten minute walk away. On the ocean side, you are sheltered by rock formations guaranteeing that the nearly 2-mile long white sand private Playa Solmar stays secluded. Here you are truly getting it all with nightlife at your fingertips yet restorative peace and natural splendor when you seek it.
Solmar Resorts started off as a sleepy outpost with just 20 guest rooms on the beach. Now it has expanded to 4 opulent properties that even now remain cohesive with the surrounding landscape and environment. In addition to a lavish pool area, Playa Grande offers an award-winning Thalassotherapy Spa. Founded in France, Thalassotherapy emphasizes organic natural cures from the sea. Soothing treatments include Seawater baths, seaweed body and face treatments, and hot stone massages.
Now Solmar Resorts is taking it a step further using organic fresh native fruits, vegetables and other ingredients whenever possible. And they’re doing it in a fun way! In addition to the resort’s five restaurants including a Tequila Bar serving more than 200 varieties of tequila, Solmar recently launched two new all-inclusive dining options that can be added to any new or existing reservation:
